A rare Chinese wedding bed with exquisitely handsome carvings. This is less of a bed and more a complete room. To enter you first pass under the ornately carved and gilded Chinese arches decorated with gilded carved panels, and then pass into the anti-chamber which is raised on a wooden platform large enough for a pair of old Chinese chairs or tables. Step into the bed further, and you are surrounded by panelled walls and a roof of carved and hand painted detail. Finished in a beautifully warm golden brown colour, all carvings are gilded gold. This is a fine substantial bed and the high quality of the carving work is breathtaking. This is one of the most exquisite and exotic beds Golden Pioneer has to offer. A custom made mattress can be made to fit this bed if required. Cushions and counterpanes may also be ordered in Chinese silk brocade to compliment the bed.
