A beautifully carved old canopy wedding bed with open sides of intricate open work carvings depicting ancient Chinese symbols of fertility and long life. Finished in a rich burgundy black colour, this bed has been created using camphor wood and hardwood. The delicate and intricate carvings are gilded with antique gold and the bed has its original temple lion detail to the front depicting ancient Chinese spiritual protection. A custom made mattress can be made to fit this bed if required. Cushions and counterpanes may also be ordered in Chinese silk brocade to compliment the bed. Very interesting for use as a bed but also very unusual as a reclining sofa in a living room setting if desired.
