This old canopy wedding bed is exquisite. Delicately and intricately carved with hand painted panels, this bed has open work carved panels set all around the sides with hand painted detail in gold and cinnabar red on a black background. Created in camphor wood and hardwood, this bed is most eye-catching and interesting. A rare example and in exceptional condition. A custom made mattress can be made to fit this bed if required. Cushions and counterpanes may also be ordered in Chinese silk brocade to compliment the bed. Very interesting for use as a bed but also very unusual as a reclining sofa in a living room setting if desired.
